Dairy-free guide
Tropical Smoothie Cafe does not certify any item dairy-free. What the official guide does publish is a milk allergen marker per item — and 48 of the 98 current items carry no milk marker, including 14 smoothies. This page lists them, with the traps that catch people out.
How to read this page: "no milk marker" means the official guide lists no milk allergen for the standard recipe. It is not a dairy-free certification: cafés use shared blenders and scoops, and recipes change. If dairy is a medical issue for you, confirm with your café and see the full allergen chart.

Beyond smoothies
Plenty of food also carries no milk marker — wraps, bowls and breakfast items included. The pattern to remember is simpler than a list: anything built on yogurt, cheese, white chocolate or a frappe base almost always lists milk. Browse the full menu, or check the milk column of the allergen chart for the item-by-item view.
The dairy traps
- Whey Protein Powder — a dairy ingredient by definition; the guide lists milk and soy for it. Swap to pea protein (no milk marker, and more protein).
- Bahama Mama — sounds like a fruit blend, but its white chocolate puts a milk marker on it.
- Peanut Butter Cup and Mango Magic — both list milk despite the fruit-forward names.
- Kiwi Quencher — lists milk too; the green color fools people.
- Yogurt and Nutella bowls — Mixed Berry Greek Yogurt and the Acai Bowl with Nutella both list milk.
- Collagen is not dairy — Vital Proteins Collagen lists no milk marker in the guide. It is animal-derived, so dairy-free but not vegan.
Ordering dairy-free
- Say it when ordering — "no milk ingredients, please" — and name the swap (pea instead of whey) if you add protein.
- Ask about a rinsed blender pitcher if cross-contact matters to you; cafés vary in what they can do at busy times.
- Recheck after menu updates — markers here are transcribed from the June 2026 guide edition.
